Questions about Glyve, your account or your data. It helps to tell us your iPhone or iPad model, its iOS version and what you were doing; a screenshot helps too.
Billing and refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple.
Getting started
What do I need to use Glyve?
iPhone and iPad with iOS or iPadOS 18 or later, with an Apple Watch app and Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets. Glyve is on the App Store; it isn’t on Android yet.
How do I start?
Download Glyve from the App Store and follow the set-up steps in the app. When Glyve asks which Apple Health data it may read, choose what you want to share; you can change it any time.
Who is Glyve for?
People living with type 1, type 2 or gestational diabetes, or prediabetes, and the people who help them. You don’t need a CGM: you can add meter readings yourself.
Can I use mmol/L or mg/dL?
Yes. Glyve supports both units.

Which languages is Glyve in?
47 languages, including English, French, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Arabic, Hindi, Japanese, Korean and Chinese.
Connecting Apple Health, Dexcom and Libre
How do I choose what Glyve reads from Apple Health?
Open the Health app, tap your profile picture, then under Privacy tap Apps, then Glyve, and turn on the categories you want Glyve to read, such as glucose, steps and sleep. Glyve keeps one copy of each reading and each night, even when two apps recorded it.
How do I bring in Dexcom or FreeStyle Libre readings?
Connect your own Dexcom Share or LibreLinkUp follower account in Glyve. Readings then come in on their own, even while Glyve is closed. Sharing has to be set up in your Dexcom or Libre app first; Dexcom and Abbott explain how in their own help pages. Glyve isn’t affiliated with Dexcom, Inc. or Abbott.
Why do my CGM readings show up late?
Readings from sharing services and from Apple Health arrive after your sensor’s own app has them, and they need a connection. Glyve doesn’t send glucose alarms, so keep your CGM app’s alerts on.
How do I bring in steps and sleep from Garmin, Oura or WHOOP?
Through Apple Health. Let your device’s app save steps or sleep to Apple Health, then turn those categories on for Glyve in the Health app, as above. Glyve isn’t affiliated with these companies.
Logging
How does Voice Log work?
Say what happened in one sentence, for example “7.9, chicken burrito bowl, about 60 carbs, 6 units, then a 20 minute walk”. Glyve drafts a separate entry for each part, and you check them before they’re saved.
How does Meal Scan work?
Photograph a meal, a nutrition label or a barcode. Glyve estimates carbs, protein, fat and fibre and drafts a food entry, which you can edit before saving. Checking the label or weighing food helps when accuracy matters.
How accurate carb counting is, by eye, label, barcode and photo
Can I log with Siri?
Yes. Say “Log glucose in Glyve”, or name any of the six types, even when the app is closed, and Siri tells you what it saved. “Scan my meal in Glyve” opens Meal Scan. Voice Log, Meal Scan and the Log menu are also in Control Center and on the Action button.
Can I log without a connection?
Yes. Glyve works offline. Readings from Dexcom Share or LibreLinkUp arrive once you’re connected again.
Does Glyve show the glycemic index of foods?
Yes, as estimates. Treat them as a guide: a food’s glycemic index shifts with ripeness, processing and cooking, and how much your glucose rises also depends on the portion and what you eat with it.
Reports and numbers
How do I export my data?
From History, export a PDF summary, a CSV for spreadsheets, an AGP report or a graph of your glucose with your logged moments, and share it however you like. AGP reports need enough days of data to be meaningful.
Is the estimated A1C the same as a lab A1c?
No. It’s calculated from the glucose readings Glyve has for the period you’re viewing (it’s also called GMI), so it can differ from a lab result, especially when readings are missing. It can’t be used to diagnose diabetes.
Subscription and billing
Is Glyve free?
Glyve is free to download from the App Store. Some features need a paid Glyve subscription. The price, the billing period and any free trial are shown in the app and on Apple’s purchase sheet before you buy, and the subscription renews automatically until you cancel it.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are billed by Apple. On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, tap Glyve, then tap Cancel Subscription. It stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
How do I ask for a refund?
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple. Sign in at reportaproblem.apple.com, choose “Request a refund”, then choose Glyve.
Your account and data
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to More › Settings › Delete Account. After two confirmations, Glyve erases your account and everything in it in one go. Deleting the app alone doesn’t delete your account.
If you can’t use the app, email info@glyve.ca from the address on your account, and we’ll confirm it’s you first. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel a subscription: cancel it in your Apple Account settings.
Safety
Can I rely on Glyve for treatment decisions?
No. Glyve is a logging and information tool, not a medical device. It doesn’t give medical advice, doesn’t recommend insulin doses and doesn’t send glucose alarms. Check important numbers with your meter, your sensor’s own app or your care team before you act on them.
Does Glyve Genius give medical advice?
No. Genius points out patterns across your own glucose, meals, insulin, sleep and activity, in plain language, such as how your readings ran after short nights. It describes what happened together; it doesn’t say what caused it, and it never suggests a dose.
What does the insulin calculator do?
It does arithmetic on the carb ratio and correction settings you enter. It shows a calculation, not a recommendation. Check any dose with your prescriber’s instructions.
Does Beacon call for help?
No. Beacon writes a text message with your latest reading, your insulin on board and, if you allow it, your location, to the people you choose, and you press Send. It isn’t automatic monitoring or an emergency service. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
